This is one of the four classes that makes up the First Term of the MTS Nursing Assistant Program.  This course focuses on abbreviations, root words, prefixes and suffixes of medical terms.

Opportunities in Emergency Health Care (OEC) offers two semesters of classes. This class, First Responder, takes students through CPR, First Aid, and the state First Responder curriculum. Upon completion, students can work first aid at various events. First Responder is a required level of certification for fire fighters or police officers. It also prepares students for EMT class.

Workers in the medical field use math everyday. This class starts to cover the medical skills you will need to work in the health care industry.
