COMMERCIAL PARODY

  1. Think of all of the commercials that you watched. Remember the way each one pushed it to the limit.
  2. Download the Commercial Parody Submission Form, open it with Text Edit or Word, and use it to submit your idea for a commercial parody via the dropbox.
  3. You and I will go over it you idea and when it is ready...
  4. Download the Project Planning Worksheet, fill it out completely, and turn it in via the dropbox.
  5. When your PPW is approved, you are ready to shoot your commercial.
  6. Don't forget to keep in mind the restrictions you may have in terms of actors, sets, locations, costumes. Creative thinking can overcome some of these hurdles, but try to be realistic!
  7. After you have shot the footage...
    1. If you are working in the classroom, we will come together and edit your footage - as an introduction to Final Cut Pro.
    2. if you are working at a distance, you can edit this with the software you possess, or if you are using FCP for the first time, talk to me and I will make sure you can get started.
  8. See if you can add some titles to your project. We will study LiveType later, but there are a lot of ways to add titles, see if you can figure one out. Come to me for help. I just want to see what you come up with.
  9. When the footage is shot, you will hand it in for post production sound editing. Please include any notes you might have for the sound engineers.
  10. You will have a chance to take a look at the finished product and to give the sound guys your input in a few weeks.
